Same great bakery as in Soho. They have a dessert that resembles an almond pound cake. It is delicious.
http://bit.ly/grandaisytribeca

Bouley Bakery

You do not always have to spend a lot of money for something that has touched a great Chef's hands. Bouley Bakery is the very place to experience inexpensive, delicious treats from a renowed chef. Allow me to introduce you to a grand chocolate chip cookie. It's HUGE! About 6" in diameter, well not quite because it is not a perfect circle. It's perfection is found while eating the cookie. The cookie is really two cookies in one. Upon first bite or piece it seems like a crispy chocolate chip cookie, until you reach the center and here it becomes soft and chewy. It is the best of both worlds, a crispy and a soft cookie. If you visit in the morning, you can grab a croissant. Bouley's is not greasy like some, yet rather flaky and then you can eat the cookie for lunch. What a perfect meal! Try their Banana Croissant.
http://bit.ly/bouleybakery
Bubby's

WOW! Like really really wow. That sentiment means two things at Bubby's. #1 Why is this place so darn crowded? #2 Why haven't I had their Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie sooner? Seriously folks, Bubby's Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie is a screaming good time. I would recommend getting it to go and eating it in the privacy of your own home. Upon first bite, you may find yourself saying out loud (rather loud) "That is some good pie Mmmm Mmmmm." What is best about the pie is the fact it's not like eating a spoonful of peanut butter (not a bad thing either). It tastes as though it is whipped, a certain sweetness with a salty finish... almost as though it is a lite cheesecake peanut butter pie. While Bubby's does have other slices of fresh pies, it is the belief that the Peanut Butter pie steals the show.
bit.ly/dRaPRH
