It is the humble opinion of this site that Rocco's has the best cannoli in Manhattan. It is not always nice to talk about others, but the service can be well, a little slow. It will soon be forgotten with the first crunch of the cannoli shell. They have plenty of other fresh Italian desserts to choose from if a cannoli is not your thing.

If you haven't been, do not turn away from the name. They have some of the finest walking sweets on the west side. Which means, you can take something to go and eat it right out of the bag. People will see the bag and know you have good taste, without knowing what is in the bag. Too many places that have Blondies, don't make them correctly... Amy's bread sure does. Cakes & Shake

Okay, cupcakes are here to stay and we have Cakes and Shake to thank for giving them new life.  Not your ordinary vanilla or chocolate here folks. I am talking a Banana Cupcake w/ Carmel Frosting. OH?  How about an Orange and Fig Cupcake with Cream Cheese Frosting topped with Toasted Walnuts?  Do I have your attention now? They are located on the south side of Washington Sq. Park.
